It's been widely rumored that Apple planned to announce new iPads and new Macs this fall, most likely in October, but no date had really been speculated as set until today. With many of the top Apple gurus all chiming in with confirmation of the date, October 22, it looks as if Apple indeed plans to announce new hardware in just a short 2 weeks. From iMore, All Things D, and The Loop, all sources are pointing to "yes", "yup", "for sure", when it comes to the date. While Apple hasn't yet sent out invitations, all signs point to this being the date for iPad and Mac fans to mark on the calendar.
Expectations for the event include new full size iPads with a thinner and lighter body, new retina iPad minis, new Macbooks, and perhaps the Mac Pro. Also on the list of most likely topics is the upcoming OS X update, Mavericks, which has recently gone to its final beta.
Hold on tight iPad fans, the 22nd is fast approaching! What are you most excited to see?
